Overview

Share responsibility with an art director and requires the ability to concept a core idea for any given assignment and/or campaign. Translates this idea through the written tone into a finished ad for video, online, social media, print, radio and other media. Strives to create award-winning work.

Responsibilities and Duties

At the risk of getting too wordy, here’s what you should know if you want to be a Senior Copywriter at GearShift Advertising:

On any given day you might

- Take on the role of primary writer on various projects

- Concept ads, write video scripts, copy for digital and print

- Supervise hire and manage freelance writers

- Manage the quality of all copy deliverables and ensure they meet Gearshift standards for creative excellence

- Work with Producers, Account Managers and Account Executives to ensure copy is delivered on time and in line with the clients’ expectations

Is comfortable working with and presenting to clients across various industries and levels

- Has a collaborative work ethic and easy going nature

- Takes constructive criticism with ease and grace

- Has a naturally curious mind and passion for interactive media

- Is an experienced multi-tasker and is not intimidated by the thought of juggling multiple projects and tasks at once

Qualifications and Skills

You bring

- 4+ years’ experience in advertising writing

- Job Type: temp to perm full-time

- Required experience: Agency Copywriting: 4 years

- Required education: Bachelor’s

- Motorsports experience a plus

Responsibilities

- Develop the written tone and feel of advertising to be executed in various media

- Responsible for the timely development and execution of campaigns and projects

- Create and documents final written decks

- Responsible for securing approval for all work from the CD for specific assignment

- Contribute to the new business activities of the Agency

- May include other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- BA in English, literature, journalism, or has attended well respected school in the advertising industry

- Two (2) to four (4) years of advertising copywriting experience required

- Must have a portfolio demonstrating the creativity required to present ideas, words, and visualizations that will intelligently represents clients’ needs

- Must have demonstrated conceptual ability
