GearShift has developed a powerful and innovative universal platform digital publication app tailored specifically to meet the unique needs of Yamaha Motor Corporation. This cutting-edge application was designed to provide a seamless and immersive digital experience across multiple platforms, ensuring that Yamaha’s vast and diverse customer base can access and engage with the brand’s extensive product lineup from virtually any device. To achieve this, GearShift created a custom framework and shell in HTML5, allowing the app to be efficiently ported across iOS, Android, and desktop environments. This strategic approach enables the development of a single version of the application that can be universally accessed, eliminating the need to create and manage separate versions for each platform.


A universal app is a single application that runs consistently across different operating systems and devices, ensuring a uniform experience regardless of whether the user is accessing it from a smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer. Unlike traditional applications that often require multiple versions tailored to specific platforms, a universal app is built on a flexible and scalable architecture that adapts to different screen sizes, resolutions, and functionalities. This makes it an ideal solution for companies like Yamaha, which have a broad audience using a variety of digital devices. Universal apps improve efficiency in development, updates, and maintenance, as changes or enhancements can be made once and instantly reflected across all platforms.

With this universal application, Yamaha can now create digital versions of its entire product line, which spans more than 100 different models, including motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, Side-by-Sides, and power products. By leveraging this digital publishing platform, Yamaha is able to present its products in a more engaging and informative way, enhancing the customer experience and providing valuable tools for dealers, enthusiasts, and potential buyers alike.

The app includes embedded and streaming video, allowing users to watch product demonstrations, performance reviews, and behind-the-scenes footage.
